The sWs»Charter

What we believe in

sWs» is a gaming clan that
  • Enjoys online gaming with friends & others
  • Fair play
  • Good sportsmanship whether we win or lose, ultimately IT IS A GAME!
  • Respect for others.
  • Creating a comfortable gaming environment on our server(s).
  • We are about the game, not trading insults & profanity

Duties and Rules of Membership
  1. Keep up to date on clan events (check in every 3-5 days!)
Communicate with others particularly via the forums, or MSN. Make use of the "view new posts" option on the forum to check up on important issues & watch the calendar for events as well. If your not going to be around for a week or more just let us know by posting about it, that way you can ensure that you won't get kicked for "disappearing".
If for whatever reason you stop using the forums after approximately 14 -21 Days you may be PM'd; by the Council, asking about your activity. We will also be checking with the squad leaders about your attendance at practices.
If you do not respond after being pm'd by the Council within 7 days and you have not been attending practices then you are then declared AWOL and are considered to be out of the clan. At the point when the Council PM's you there are no guarantees about re-admission to the clan even if you respond within the time frame although we normally permit it.
IF you are declared AWOL then appeals are possible for genuine problems, however you MAY revert to a Probationary status IF re-admission is allowed.

  2. Be Active
There are 2 Main Types of member Full and Casual each have there own requirements:
Full Members: An active member of one or more Squads, attending squad Practices and participating in clan events and activities or is Contributing to the Clan on a Regular Basis, (Building Maps, and Running Servers etc.)
Casual Members: A Member That Has Been in the Clan a Minimum of 6 Months from there Original appointment as Full Member. Member has applied for Casual Status because; they can not attend Squad Practices for medium or long term or are Taking a Break from competitive play of greater then 14 days.

  3. Attend practices
Practices consist of two types: Squad Practices & General Practices
Squad Practices: If you are an Active Member then you are expected to attend Squad Practices were ever possible and to participate in matches. If the squad leader deems that your attendance to practices has been unsatisfactory then you may be removed from the squad, this will potentially lead to you being kicked from the Clan because you are no longer fulfilling the requirements of Section 2 (we will grant lee way on a case by case basis).
If you are going away or can't attended for whatever reason then LET THE SQUAD LEADER(S) KNOW, we do realize that Real Life is much more important but we also need to know where we stand with you and a simple post is all that it takes!
General Practices: show up if at all possible but attendance is not mandatory. If enough members show then a closed practice can be held. Currently these practices are held on Thursdays & Sundays. We would prevail upon all members to attend these as this is a fairly social gathering were members can pass on a few tips to each other and the latest gossip.

  4. Be willing
To play in scrims & matches whenever possible. Make your intentions known on the forums when a match is announced so we know if we can depend on you being there, remember a large part of being in a clan is about playing as a team against other high level players. Also be there for your fellow clan members in time of need, support or technical advice. This is our online family.

  5. Behave respectfully and in the spirit of sportsmanship
When playing with our tag (sWs») and posting on our and other clans forums, you represent our clan. Don't get into arguments/name-calling etc on other servers. Use the built in features for ignoring text and voice chat from people who are bugging you or simply ignore them yourself. Our Server rules are a good indication of how we expect you to behave when you have that tag on. Any member found to be Cheating and Proved to the satisfaction of the sWs Council will be immediately kicked from the clan and banned from our servers.

  6. Help Us Make the Clan Stronger and to be better by discussing our issues of concern to the membership, use the forums regularly to express your concerns or by e-mailing the appropriate departments and bodies within the clan. If you are becoming unhappy in the clan let the Captains or Councilors(s) know because it may be the first indications of something going wrong, which will help us address the issue/problem quickly before there is an impact on the clan.

This is a Living Document - It changes from time to time as events happen. Please monitor it and give us feed back - You can put forward amendments and suggestions to the sWs Council.
